Compliance administration simplified
Comprehensive compliance administration is a crucial part of managing your company’s health and welfare plans. Between the ever-changing implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and staying current with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and regulatory requirements we know it’s enough to make your head spin. At Parelius we work with employers both large and small to help our clients stay current and avoid common pit-falls of compliance administration. We offer on-going education, tools, and resources needed to simplify your company’s compliance administration.
Compliance requirements vary by company size and region. We assess your compliance needs and provide a customized review to ensure you’re paying attention to the areas important to your company. Major compliance topics include:
- ACA requirements
- COBRA administration
- ERISA compliance
- Federal reporting requirements
- Local ordinances
We continually update our clients on changes which affect the administration of their health and welfare plans. We communicate with you via email, newsletters, phone calls, and in person to ensure you receive alerts regarding ACA rules and regulations, federal and state laws, and changes in carrier requirements.
Our team assists with required documentation related to various areas of compliance so your HR team is not overwhelmed with paperwork. Our services include:
- ERISA Plan Document and Wrap Summary Plan Description (SPD). ERISA requires group health plans to maintain written plan documents and to provide a SPD to all plan participants.
- Cafeteria Plan or Premium Only Plan (POP) Plan Document and SPD. IRS Code Section 125 allows for employees to have their health plan contributions taken out of their paycheck pre-tax. This is a benefit to both the employer and employee. In order to be in compliance with the Section 125 code you must establish the plan and maintain proper records for your employees.
- Compliance and HR template documents. Record keeping and notification needs are constantly changing and our team can assist with providing other types of documents as the need arises.
Our team of experts is here to ensure you have the knowledge needed to stay up to date. We work with you so you don’t get bogged down in all the details. It’s important to know why regulations exist and how to stay in compliance. We provide you with education through online webinars, in-person meetings, monthly newsletters, and timely email alerts.
